The Wheel of Time (TV series)

Pros

• Parent context: one of my all-time favorites is The Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan does world building on the same scale as Tolkien. Reply: I've seen a bit of the WoT show and it was kinda interesting so I will jump on that for sure.
• From category 1, I think the accessibility of The Wheel of Time is underrated. It's infamous for having a ton of description and myriad POVs, but it starts small and builds out from there. You don't get the fourth non-prologue POV until...
• The Wheel of Time is my favorite series. 14 books plus a prequel. Its more of an epic. It gets pretty dark at times but the world building and characters are excellent.
• Rosamund Pike's narration of The Wheel of Time brings the most comfort (I really, really need book 5 from her lmao). It's helped me to sleep on a few restless nights too.
• The Wheel of Time feels like an obvious addition to this list.

Cons

• The Japanese version is really bad. Due to the usual size of Japanese books, the first book (Eye of the World) is divided in 3 parts... the translation is pretty bad. It reads relatively unnatural in some parts, and even some of the more...
• the new Kindle version that came out with the Amazon series (🤮).
• I don't see *that* many recommends for the 1st three on your lists these days, and plenty of counter-arguments for especially WoT, but more and more Stormlight.
• I was on book two of the wheel of time and I don’t think I can read it right now.
• The Wheel of Time ... All series I feel don't get a huge bump from listening to in audio format.
