Pros
- The Passage trilogy by Justin Cronin
- Loved the whole trilogy. The characters were all awesome & I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen to them from chapter to chapter. That’s good readin!"
- Amazing first third of the first book, the real-time collapse of society is fascinating. The rest is decent, nothing that will re-invent the wheel, but solid book.
- I loved the entire series. So much more I want to say but don’t want to spoil anything!
- I really enjoyed it. Great cast of characters
Cons
- The first book was thrilling. The follow-ups were harder to get through, I just didn't care for the characters or really get a handle on who was who.
- Liked the first, disliked the second, never read the third.
- I really enjoyed it. But as others have commented, the first book was faster and more engaging (for me) than the rest. I remember struggling a bit with the story at the end.

I actually really enjoyed it. I have his follow-up thing but haven't read it. I would say this goes from horror to like post-apocalypse fantasy by the 2nd novel.
The Passage trilogy by Justin Cronin has good, old-fashioned vampires. They glow in the dark, are extremely hard to kill, hunt in packs of threes, have hypodermic needles for teeth, and can drain a cow of all it's blood in under a minute.
