Pros

  • Love Jon Stewart and this was a good segment, but undermined somewhat by having Joe Manchin on immediately after.
  • Holy shit. This is awesome! I remember watching them in the lead up to the iraq war and and also watching Fox CNN etc. This was the main voice against the invasion and they were soooo right.
  • For me, The Daily Show has been an important marker of time, the consistent comedic voice of the left, and lately, one of the few "mainstream" media sources holding both ends of the political spectrum accountable for what they say and do.
  • On the other hand, the Daily Show found its feet again, John Oliver created his own niche, and Cody made a Showdy.
  • Trump Bombarded by Epstein Q's in Scotland, MAGA “Caddies” Provide Cover Back Home | The Daily Show

Cons

  • Jon, despite all his very intelligent takedowns of politicians and the media has never had one iota of a solution. Not even concepts of a plan. He instead retreats to the "I'm just a comedian" thing, shirking all responsibility. He's a c...
  • Complaining about politics in south park is like complaining about politics in The Daily Show.

Jon, despite all his very intelligent takedowns of politicians and the media has never had one iota of a solution. Not even concepts of a plan. He instead retreats to the "I'm just a comedian" thing, shirking all responsibility. He's a court jester that can point out absurdity, but that's the extent of his usefulness.....

Love Jon Stewart and this was a good segment, but undermined somewhat by having Joe Manchin on immediately after. Guy is a piece of shit who helped usher in the Trump era and shouldn’t be given the time of day, let alone time to spout his folksy bullshit relatively unchallenged by Jon.

The daily show has fully recovered since Trevor Noah left. Jon Stewart’s return has been one of the few positive things to happen in politics over last few years.
