Talk To Me In Korean

Pros

• Use a resource like Talk to Me in Korean or similar.
• Talk To Me In Korean has some videos about how the culture affects the language.
• A TTMIK subscription could be a good gift.
• I think Talk to Me in Korean covers all of these things but it's definitely not condensed.
• I think TTMIK is good. I've seen people recommend just getting the workbooks, if you want their books. You might be able to get by with just the audio lessons and taking notes and reviewing.

Cons

• My biggest problem with TTMIK is that they use way too much English. Lessons can be quite long and it feels like they only taught you 1 or 2 main points the whole lesson. The constant joking and everything else just gets annoying.
• Just in my case, i never really liked the TTMIK stuff.
• TTMIK: website, paid, it's okay. There is a 7 day trial I think
• i think TTMIK is more for natural speaking and less for TOPIK preparation.
• Of the two, I think the organization in Billy's is better and makes more sense for beginners. (I really question TTMIK's decision not to introduce ~겠다 until Level 6, but ~(이)라도 is apparently important enough to make it into Level 5.)
