Pros

  • Taking Cara Babies and Huckleberry Sweet Spot were wonderful sleep resources. Lo was a hot mess until 3.5 months when I started using both.
  • I bought the first course from taking care babies. I was miserable desperate and absolutely in over my head. You can find all of the information in the courses elsewhere of course. But I didn't have the capacity to figure it out on my ow...
  • My son is 18 weeks old and we have been doing the Taking Cara Babies sleep course/method since he was 7 weeks old. It worked really well for us.
  • I also used Taking Cara Babies and know several other families who have had great success as well.
  • Taking Cara babies! She has tons of blogs for questions but I did the first 5 month course at 7 weeks and that night we had an extra hour of sleep already. I will always recommend it to anyone as I had such great experiences with it.

Cons

  • A friend shared some of the Taking Cara Babies info, but it seemed like basically Ferber. Which we tried and abandoned because the check ins just riled my baby up and made him cry harder.

Parent context: I see a lot of people recommending taking cara babies so assumed it’s more substantiated and legit. I think it’s fine to pay for convenience if you can afford it and if the content is good / helpful, but the volume of “experts” primarily on instagram is what makes me suss of all these different ones! Reply: 100% everything needed to know for Ferber (all of these Taking Cara babies courses and whatever else are just Ferber with a marketing scheme) can be found on Reddit and google for free

I bought the first course from taking care babies. I was miserable desperate and absolutely in over my head. You can find all of the information in the courses elsewhere of course. But I didn't have the capacity to figure it out on my own. It helped tremendously BECAUSE it told me over and over, hey, this is normal. You are doing great.
