Pros

• They did my boots in Vail Village 25 years ago and gave good service when I needed it over time. I purchased new boots from them in NYC about five years ago. They fixed terrible problems I was having by putting me in a lower volume shell...
• People dog on Surefoot but it has a couple of huge advantages. First, they are using at least a technical method to fit you for boots. It’s not just guesswork, so it’s repeatable. ... It was great money spent.
• $1,100 USD later, I have boots that don’t cause me ANY pain and I’m beyond stoked! ... Their service was top notch coming back for adjustments as well.
• Surefoot comes (or used to 2 seasons ago) standard with heating elements already in the booth, you just need a battery.

Cons

• I’ve never used Surefoot, but it sounds like this particular boot fitter has made a poor recommendation with these boots and is now trying to fix it.
• I’ve used two different highly reputable boot fitters and neither has delivered a boot that can last me one run without agony.
• My most recent pair from Surefoot I’ve had adjusted 3 times. It’s completely hit or miss if I’m going to be in pure agony on the mountain.
