Suitcase

Pros

• If I’m setting up a homebase from one city then I’ll take a suitcase.
• I use a suitcase whenever I am traveling for more than two days. A small one (carry on size) for the summer or short trips, a medium sized (has to be checked) one for longer trips or if it's cold and I have to pack a lot of bulky sweater...
• I always bring a suitcase because I never know if I'll need an extra room for things I buy while I'm on the trip. I also like to pack :) maybe overpack :)

Cons

• Any locks on a suitcase are worthless, you can just split the zip open anywhere with a pen and ignore the lock altogether.
• Personal pros and cons for bringing a suitcase: No weight on my back, can carry day-pack without trouble. Keeps my things “safer” (hard shell suitcase), looks less bulky and I wouldn’t stand out so much. Cons: would be difficult to roll...
