Subaru WRX

Pros

• Used to have a WRX but sold it during the pandemic and been driving a boring Camry since then. Really missing having something with some personality.
• Thinking maybe a GTI that'll occasionally remind me I'm alive or a WRX
• I had a 22 wrx and now have a 25 wrx and they both had 5 star safety ratings on all measures (NHTSA.gov).
• I don’t know about Honda’s awd but have had 2 wrx’s and they have full time awd. In the rain the traction is better than all my other rear wheel drive cars I’ve ever had. And in the dry it’s massive traction.
• If you really need it, the WRX is great for it.

Cons

• I also looked at golf r, and wrx while shopping.
• Maybe a 2nd generation BRZ/FRS/GT86? WRX?
• WRX is active AWD engaged all the time.
• WRX is fun but watch for modified ones, lots of them beaten up badly.
• I think that's why the auto option in the 2.5l Mazda seems more attractive compared to the Si, WRX, etc.
