I just finished strange houses too! I loved it! Very fun and unique read!

Just finished reading Strange Houses and it was a very quick and enjoyable read. Overall a great mystery novel with plenty of things to speculate on. 9/10 read for mystery. 5/10 for the horror.

I think I liked Strange Houses more though.

I did like it, it felt refreshing to me in a way just because the format was a bit different from what I have been reading. It was also pretty light all things considered, I think that's just the way the author writes though.

Probably an unorthodox pick, but *Strange Houses* by Uketsu is probably already considered one in Japan. Very much still an unknown in the US (I think), but it's very unique, super creepy, and fun to read. Highly recommended.

*Strange Pictures* and *Strange Houses* (Uketsu)? They are creepy and close enough to the fair-play style, and the translator Jim Rion indicates that one of Uketsu's main aims is to make this style inviting to more people.
