Specialized Diverge

Pros
- Trek Domane ALR, Giant Contend AR, or Specialized Diverge are solid picks that check all your boxes - honestly can't go wrong with any of the big brands these days, they're all pretty dialed in for what you want
- Back in July I was a half a mile away from my house, headed to work on my Specialized Diverge, as i have done regularly since 2018
- I do have a Diverge (lower trim than the STR comp FWIW) and it is a damn good bike. If you have the budget for about another grand than the other bike, I'd go with that.
- If you spend a bit more, something like a Specialized Diverge at 1500 with hydraulic disc brakes can be a nice upgrade.
- Fellow Diverge owner here. You’ll love it! It can do everything
Cons
- I test road several that I was interested in including Trek Checkpoint SL 5, Cannondale Topstone Carbon 3, Salsa Warbird C Rival GX, Niner RLT 9 RDO, Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 1, as well as a few I didn't get to try like Specialized Dive...
- Was looking at the specialized diverge, but seems a bit out of my price range once I factor everything in.
- I have a Trek Domane, and a Specialized Diverge that were more expensive, and not nearly as high spec.

I bought a specialized diverge for riding roads and gravel trails
I'll throw in a nod for a Diverge instead of a Crux. Depends a bit on your ratio of road/gravel I suppose, but as a roadie, I need more help on the trails and gotta say having some suspension is nice.
I have a Trek Domane, and a Specialized Diverge that were more expensive, and not nearly as high spec.
