Specialized Allez

Pros

• I’ve used my alloy Specialized Allez on a Kickr for the last 3 winters, with no problems.
• Specialized Allez and Trek Domane AL are the best mass produced, no bullshit bicycles currently available.
• Giant TCR, Specialized Allez or Cannondale CAAD 10 or earlier.
• Search marketplace for a giant defy, specialized allez, or any of the other entry level aluminum offerings from the big brands. You can get a great bike for 300-400 dollars
• But Specialized has been making the Allez for decades, and the aluminum frame versions are dime a dozen and easy to find.

Cons

• Specialized Allez (Comp/Sport) (105 vs. Tiagra vs. CUES... or claris?)
• Save up for a new bike, you're going to hit limitations quite quickly on the Allez, because its alloy and has Rim brakes, which not only limit your braking but also your tire clearance
• Purchased a Specialized Allez (2021 model, RIM brakes) a few months back. All still stock parts, including the tyres.
• Personally I think both are not a good option and you ca do better for the money.
• If you want new you can get an aluminum specialized allez for $1099. It has a sloping top tube so not the total retro look, but close.
