Along the way I also stayed at Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest and at Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island (reviews coming soon), both of which were absolutely exceptional.

We replaced Silky with SOL. Well worth it.

Stayed at SOL and Lizard Island in August of 2024. SOL feels like one of the most exclusive experiences you'll ever have.

I've stayed at Southern Ocean Lodge and Lizard Island -- both are AMAZING but completely different from each other. Southern Ocean Lodge has views, kangaroos, lots of activities.

I stayed here for 3 nights back in 2018 and it (and Kangaroo Island in general) was a highlight of our 3 week Australia trip. I wish we had stayed longer! Everything was amazing

Stayed here right before the fire in 2019 and loved it. They will curate your experiences to your tastes. The wildlife on KI is amazing.

SOL is fat. We are a fan. You go into it a bit like a safari experience where they plan your stay for you.
