Solovair

Pros

• A strength of the company is that the shoes are well designed and much more attractive than any other option at that price point I'm aware of.
• Better quality than doc martens but still made to an extremely tight budget.
• if I'm after an OG Doc (think, circa '80s/'90s, Made in Great Britain look), Solovair's the way to go, right?
• I think Meermin, Solovair, etc are of decent quality, aren't they?
• Solovair has some platform side zips.

Cons

• limiting factor of solovair is their construction, they're made like docs in that while they're welted, the welt is essentially melted to the outsole. this makes resoles more difficult compared to a traditional GYW
• I’m planning to get both tassel and penny loafers and am choosing between Solovair and GH Bass.
• I’d say GH Bass only because I believe they can actually be resoled unlike solovair which practically glues the sole/welt on.
• solovair - urban hiker based on other solovair boots the heel counter might not be the most friendly thing for hiking
