We have done it previously via Smugmug- we would upload all the pictures and then hand everyone a piece of paper with the shared code on it for them to go download their own pictures. In today's world, we don't consider that a good idea anymore because everyone can see everyone else's pictures.

There are thousands of platforms that will allow you to build a website without any coding needs. Most platforms include visual builders these days. Many of them will include all the features you listed. Some examples: SquareSpace, Wix, WordPress, Format, Adobe Portfolio, Zenfolio, SmugMug, PhotoShelter, Webflow,...
I have also used SmugMug, which is another solid choice with excellent sharing features.
