Brilliant picks. I second this. Especially those two king collections. Night shift is mostly small town horror with a sci fi horror story; skeleton crew has some of those but is generally very diverse.
If it's too long then Skeleton Crew has many of his best horrific short stories
I'm still working my way through Skeleton Crew for the first time but I love The Raft as well as Son of Celluloid from Books of Blood 1-3.
I was hoping for something comparable to Stephen King's Skeleton Crew, Night Shift, or Nightmares & Dreamscapes.
And his short stories are great - Night Shift and Skeleton Crew are great collections.

If you want to get more into King and find that he rambles you might like his short story collections, some of them are incredible in part because he doesn't have the space to ramble. Skeleton Crew and Night Shift are my favourite of the anthologies.
I like to recommend *Night Shift* and *Skeleton Crew* by Stephen King, and *Books of Blood* by Clive Barker. They are varied in topic, easy to read, and consistently good!
