Personally, because of this unless you're going to move to something much more secure like Signal I wish all the 3rd party SMS/MMS apps would die so we could all enjoy E2EE between each other.
I'm just gonna use signal and if people don't want to install it they can text me on SMS using fossify.
if you don't care about that and want some other chat app that's more secure and private than Google Messages, I recommend Signal.
