Shimano 105

Pros
- the Shimano 105 is pretty much all the groupset you’ll ever need for road riding.
- the 105 is a workhorse groupset, with almost as much precision as the higher-cost Ultegra and only a few more grams in weight, but far more consistent for extensive and extended riding than the Tiagra.
- If you can find one, a bike with 11-speed Shimano 105 or Ultegra would be great. It's the previous generation at this point but those groupsets are great.
- 105 groupset is worth the extra money, in my opinion.
- One option could be to swap your group set and “upgrade” to a shimano 2x road set, like 105.
Cons
- Gear set: Shimano 105, 11 speed
- I’ve had some shifting issues lately and it feels like it’s on its way out. 2014 new.
- The current component set is Shimano 105, with a triple crank--no idea if they are original
- 105 is 300g heavier than Ultegra, which isn't really much at all in the grand scheme of your overall system weight, but I do want to upgrade next year.

Shimano 105 is awesome, manual or Di2. They should all be 2x12.
There's quite a lot of offers for brand new 105, because people upgrade brand new bikes to di2. Usually it's reasonably priced. You can find it for $400 here in Europe. The old 105 could be cheaper, but why buy used when you can have brand new. 105 may seem a bit more expensive to maintain, but it's more durable, so it's not that much of a difference in the long run.
