Shifman

Pros

• We also tried an extra firm by Shifman and aireloom. Both lovely but pricier.
• one of the reasons we chose Shifman is because it’s latex and flippable, both of which should make it last longer.
• Shifman makes a great mattress, but it will cost you, but worth it.
• Yes, they still make mattresses the way they used to, and Shifman is one of the best examples. Some of their models still use true old-fashioned box springs paired with two-sided innerspring mattresses
• I have tried a variety of Shifman’s firmer mattresses, and I would say they are just about the best out there, right there with ViSpring, Millbrook, Savoir and some other very fine mattresses.

Cons

• The foundation is generally referred as the box spring, although unless you are buying a Shifman or Hastens, that use an active box spring with actual springs, usually today is a wooded slatted box or semiflex box.
• Parent context: Somewhere here I wrote about Shifman. I did NOT like it or any of them at Bloomingdales. It was Too heavy to ever turn over / 2 sided, and it’s pillow top was firm as everything. They use alot of cotton which was actually...
