Pros

  • The location is great, surprised you've read that it's bad? All the Google reviews suggest location is brilliant also. I've only been inside for drinks but it's a beautiful hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here
  • its a good location walkable to the British Museum and to the west end. their restaurant is decent esp on wednesday when they serve their beef wellington.
  • The Rosewood London has a great cocktail bar in the old American Embassy.
  • I also heard Rosewood London has a dog friendly package as well.
  • I’m at the ‘regular’ London Rosewood at the moment and even we’ve had lens wipes lol.

As a Londoner who has lived near that area, it’s a good location. A great location in fact. Not horribly touristy like Leicester Square, Covent Garden etc - but incredibly walkable. It’s also a beautiful hotel. I’ve recommended it to friends before.

My husband says it’s one of his favourite hotels in London. It’s very nice and close to Covent Garden, Holborn tube (central line) and major bus routes.

I think it is an excellent location. Walking distance to the British Museum, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Oxford Street, St. Pauls, the Strand, National Galleries... the hotel itself is lovely and very grand.

It's a brilliant location for tourists. It's just not very residential, so don't expect to feel immersed into the lives of everyday londoners. ... Good place to stay, pretty in parts , but very functional.

No it is not like storybook London but for families, it is practical, charm and comfortable. Specially for kids it has a lot of fun activities.
