Pelican
Reddit take
Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.
Pros
- Don’t rent from them, go to Pelican or something nearby, bc the rental prices are pretty high.
- For instance, a Pelican case has less of a chance of being destroyed than any other type of checked bag that money can buy.
- Get Pelican if you want durability
- I like my Pelican.
- Hard sides are fine but to really protect gear or bottles I often use a real Hardcase like Nanuk or Pelican.
Cons
- Look into PELICAN
- And yes I also own a couple of pelicans but for 4x the price I really don’t see that much difference
- Nanuk makes a better Pelican case than Pelican does
- Pelican has only Burton Ride and Solomon
- Didn’t see big selection last time I was there to get my board tuned… will check them again.

Right now I've got everything stuffed into a single pelican but wondering how you have all had success and what works best for you.
Look into PELICAN
They said it didn't matter. I still have the case so they will send a replacement part. 2 days later I received a whole new set of wheels. ... Bloody outstanding service from Pelican.
I would definitely recommend Pelican 10 out of 10 stars to everyone!
Pelican is also ATA approved which essentially means that if they kill one they replace it and your contents too!
