Second Park Hyatt Kyoto. ... It is probably the best service you can get with one of these larger chains - (was better than the Conrad Osaka service which was also fantastic but PH kyoto was out of this world).
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Kyoto and would highly recommend. We managed to find a points reservation for our dates, but this is maybe the only PH IMO worth the cash price if you can't get in on points. Good hard and soft product, good sense of place, right next to picturesque Gion but an amazing oasis of calm that completely shuts out the chaos of the Gion tourist crowds during the day.
