Nord

Pros
- My Nord has a lot of personal hours on it and has traveled a LOT. Granted, you'd expect something with that price tag to manage that kind of survival...
- it'll never be quite like a Roland Fantom or Korg Triton or a Nord or whatever, it's just a controller
- Kurzweils are phenomenally good machines, but they are indeed technically challenging for most users to program, and the learning curve is way steeper than the Nord's.
- Kawai, Yamaha, Roland all make quality instruments. So do korg, casio, Nord, etc.
- But as a first synth the Nord was definitely the best option IMO, less menu-divey and easier to get going on a track.
Cons
- And a Nord covered in snow. They must have only had time to scrape off the control panel.
- As a note for consumer grade VPN usage, something like Nord could be used, but monitoring will detect it is a VPN and may list it as a VPN (and name the VPN).
- I tried them and was surprised how little I liked them. They felt very light and wiggly.

Considered a V-synth as my first synth back when they were new but went with the Nord instead cuz it just looked easier to use.
If not get a Nord, it’s the best of the best for electrics. Prices range from 2k-5k
