Pros

  • I have heard Ms Rachel is great.
  • If Ms. Rachel distracts him enough to get through the day, I’ll take it.
  • My son gets a little Ms Rachel or Sesame Street basically everyday. He’s never even LOOKED at an IPad. ... The only screen he knows is mounted to the wall at home.
  • I don't know how many days I've had to resort to Ms Rachel while I curl up on the floor sick in my babies little couch I got him.
  • I sometimes have to put on Ms Rachel for her and I struggle to keep up with routines of feeding, sleep, going outside, and play.

Cons

  • Awww is she being a mean mommy and not letting you watch Ms Rachel?
  • I hear a lot about Ms Rachel and CocoMelon but I found them both kind of annoying

  • The only way to get through it is having Ms. Rachel play as a distraction, which I hate, because I feel like I’m teaching her she needs screens to regulate her emotions.
  • They created a new kids account on a new tablet and watch coco melon, ms Rachel, and a couple other kids shows for a while. Later all the suggested videos were weird Ai garbage with like ants crawling out of cars and stuff.

At 18 months we started implementing very limited TV time with my daughter. It was so easy to turn off the TV when the episode of Ms Rachel was over. No fussing or whining. Now at 22 months we still do very limited screen time, no more than what we did at 18 months but it is a battle when we turn it off after an episode.
