Stayed there last year. Gorgeous grounds, beautiful pool, stunning views. Rooms are like lightly refreshed. Not bad, but don’t expect Asia or Mexico levels. Dining is very mid. But yeah, doesn’t get much better than this in the US and definitely better than Ritz Carlton down the street.

Definitely not better around - incredible service on all fronts Worth noting they’re not exactly on the beach, but then again, none of the resorts in Laguna are (it’s a 4-5 minute walk) gorgeous pool though Food is great, but not in the style of Michelin starred tasting menus, incredible wine list though and a somme that will pour you endless tastes if you’re enthusiastic about your wine
Montage is probably the best location, just because Laguna Village is so charming and walkable.
I’d go with Montage Laguna Beach hands down out of these options. It’s right on the ocean with stunning views and just far enough from LA to feel like a real getaway while still being close.
You are either right on the beautiful clean Laguna Beach at Montage or overlooking the golf course and ocean at Pelican Hill.
