Let me tell you, this has been an eye opener. We have so much management and so many levels of management it’s nearly impossible to get teams to agree to anything so every team is off doing their own thing that’s often either duplicate work or incompatible other systems (without hacking together a bunch of scripts). There’s absolutely no ownership, it’s like everyone wants someone else to own the systems and they just want to be told what to do.

Visa and Mastercard really do use the payment processors as shields don’t they lol. “ wasn’t us, we didn’t say anything, it was this company we will not name”.

There's your confirmation that MasterCard lied.

So no, Mastercards response is basically lies and obfuscation.

I am a concerned customer about Visa’s recent efforts to censor adult content on prominent online game retailers, specifically the platforms Steam and Itch.io. As a long-time Visa customer, I see this as a massive overreach into controlling what entirely legal actions/purchases customers are allowed to put their money towards. Visa has no right to dictate my or other consumer’s behavior or to pressure free markets to comply with vague morally-grounded rules enforced by payment processing providers.
