MO has a really central location and I have to say their service is so disciplined and thoughtful. Just for the professionalism, it's worth the money.
If you want the quintessential classic old world Hong Kong experience, MO is the way to go. My husband and I cannot wait to visit again after the upgrade.

Mandarin Oriental rooms are tired, however, it’s in an extremely quiet location and to me my go to stay location. Service is still top notch, although the restaurant/bar situation could be improved.
I’ve always associated Mandarin Oriental with consistency and impeccable service, so this has been really disappointing. I’m finding myself slowly falling out of love with a brand that I used to recommend without hesitation.
I would just go and try one of the MO restaurants to experience it (Pizza place is legit but book ahead or ask FS concierge).
Not the MO. Very dated rooms not just in design but in wear and tear. Views on one side are just of adjacent office buildings. Overcrowded breakfast. Spa underwhelming and no pool.
