MacBook Pro (2021)

Pros

• This XPS 13 runs significantly hotter (and louder) than my 14" MBP w/ the M1 Pro chip
• I picked up a m1 pro 14inch macbook pro last year because I was tired of the audio latency that happens on EVERY windows computer for making music. Needless to say, I was blown away by the 3 year old device
• Since the M1 Pro, I’ve been problem-free
• Compared to my macbook pro 2021 m1 pro. What a difference!
• I had also considered an M1 Pro. They seem fast enough, and anything newer than the M1 Pro refurbished is really close in price to the base M5 pro on sale right now at $1500.

Cons

• I listened to them from apple dongle, galaxy a 50, lenevo ideapad and MacBook pro m1 pro. It was very similar everywhere and if it had a difference, it was quite insignificant.
• M1 Pro MAX series had some issues with monitor screen cable being too short... The "Dustgate" Issue: These redesigned models (A2442 / A2485) introduced a different hinge arrangement where small gaps permit dust and crumbs to enter the hi...
• M1 Pro is a 2021 processor and it'll soon be 2027, if the screen fails, it's out of warranty and not cost effective to repair.
• Native by UC M1 Pro: Love the 2-year warranty and alkaline cartridge. It lacks a manual MTDS bypass loop (does 100% RO) and remineralizes everything after. But UC services aren't fully live in my town yet
• the only slight bottle neck being the GPU performance which is a little behind for todays cutting edge (But I know that for stuff like Blender renders desktop will always be better)
