  • highly highly recommend getting an M1 MacBook
  • Both r old but the m1 MacBook is like good old for ur average normal user. Unless she starts doing heavy multitasking that usually needs 16 ram or more or doing something fancy coding or something she’ll be fine.

An M1/M2 Macbook would be a good choice if you prioritize battery life. You’d easily go 12+ hours with just note-taking/web-browsing.
