Well, look for thinkpad P16 or P16v, P1 is also a good option. Used is preferable since it's cheaper, and they build to actually last. I mean, hit someone in the face last. The P16 has magnesium roll cage inside.
With $2000 budget consider a Thinkpad T16 or P16. Get 32GB of RAM and the good colour screen (100% sRGB at least) and you should be fine. They're sturdy and reliable and will last many years.
But on a professional setting you'd consider a **ThinkPad P16** or **ThinkPad E16 Gen 2** except that you'd be sacrificing the GPU to a weaker Intel Arc one.
