LENOVO Ideapad Slim 5

Pros

• I'd lean IdeaPad Slim 5 tbh, Lenovo’s hinges and build tend to hold up better and it’s solid for multitasking + everyday stuff like you listed.
• I was thinking of getting something like Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 with ryzen 7 7730U, 16Gb ram, 512 SSD. And it’s only $500. For 300 less it feels like my option has better spec.

• That setup should be fine for your older games, and for GTA V i’d expect it to be more about settings discipline than raw power... If the price is good, it fits your library pretty well.
• IdeaPad Slim 5 is a solid pick. I'd take that over the Slim 3 (which is cheaper) simply because of the USB-C charging, (mostly) metal build and better display options.

Cons

• I have the same laptop, I didn't play GTA on it, but on Fortnite I easily get 200+ fps. I must say that the laptop cpu can get very hot (85°C) even though you raise the back. Its not build for gaming so it doesnt have the best cooling sy...
• Im scared as ive had total data loss twice both on my lenovo ideapad slim 5
• surprised two people already recommending ideapad, because even though Lenovo ThinkPad are known for good quality, Lenovo's ideapad series r not known for that at all
• So, my foolish ass had bought a lenovo ideapad slim 5 with a ryzen ai 5 330 for 1000$ (with 16gb ddr5 ram and 1tb ssd) ... Only to find out it only boasts 4 cores instead of 6 with a very weak gpu because my dumbass thought it was a ryze...
• the Lenovo I'm only throwing out there because it's on sale despite having a worse display (and I think last gen CPU?)
