Pros

  • From the author of the Exorcist, you have the sequel: Legion
  • I was also going to suggest Legion! Such a good detective novel!
  • I am 60% through Legion by William Peter Blatty. It is definitely giving me this feel, so far. ... I am really enjoying it, so far, and I think it will fit your prompt.
  • Go to a Legion and get the full 400w to throw at it if you want performance.
  • Models like the Legion or a Razer don't have a TDP throttle on the GPU. The top spec Legions will throw 400w at the hardware when manually set to max performance.

Cons

  • Exorcist 1 & 3 are based on The Exorcist and Legion, both by William Peter Blatty.
  • I was looking at the ThinkPad and Legion series but I am not sure exactly which hardware I should be looking for.
  • Yeah exactly :D But still it isnt that bad compared to other laptops with 4070 if you look at this "thin" class. Like legion or msi stealth.

Outside of the hassles I faced with Nvidia/Intel Optimus in the past, I can confirm the Legion's Linux compatibility from my experience. Wi-Fi, secondary storage device, media controls, screen brightness, touchpad, etc all function out of the box.
