Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh!
Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh might get categorized as literary fiction more so than horror or fantasy, but it has both. This book definitely contains more focus on social issues than the others I’ve mentioned, but it is meatier and like The Beauty, not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea.

Just finished reading Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh, definitely recommend that if you're looking for a religious horror dark fantasy.
