Kia Niro

Pros
- Both the Kona and Niro are really great cars, and if your wife wants to get one I can't really see any reasons why you shouldn't lease one.
- he ended up with a used Niro which is sort of a sibling or cousin - it was 3 years old and cheap.
- Buy brand new, discounted and at 0% APR from this list. Niro, Rogue, Taos, etc.
- If you want something more reliable with less problems take a look at Honda Hr-v, Mazda CX-30, Toyota C-HR, Kia Niro, Hyundai Kona, etc.
- we bought a 2022 Niro at the beginning of this year to replace hubby's dead car. I dont drive it but hubby and adult kid do. They have no complaints
Cons
- Niro is kinda slow charging unfortunately but you'll be fine.
- As I understand it, the consensus is it’s an underwhelming car new at $50k (usd), but it’s kind of an attractive deal at $20-25k for a ‘23 or ‘24. The biggest issue is charging speed
- A Niro or Leaf would radically change the logistics vs a longer range / faster charging car.
- An alternative wouldn't be the Renault 5, but more the 4. Or a Kona/Niro, or even ID.3
- Even if there is a 50kw charger every 50ft I wouldn't take a niro on a road trip. thats a commuter class car, it doesn't have decent fast charging. glorified leaf, like a bolt.

Also yeah the Niro is solid, basically Kia's answer to the Kona but might have better rear seat space if that matters to you
Kia Niro is the closest example to the Kona. Very similarly equipped.
A Niro or Leaf would radically change the logistics vs a longer range / faster charging car.
