AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
Jetour is a polarizing Chinese automotive brand under the Chery umbrella that has seen a surge in visibility in the Gulf region, particularly with its T2 and Dashing models. While it is frequently praised for its aggressive pricing, accessible financing, and extensive 10-year/1-million-km warranties, it faces significant criticism regarding its build quality, off-road performance, and long-term residual value.
Pros
- Competitive pricing and high 'value for money' compared to established Western brands
- Extensive warranty offerings, including 10-year or 1-million-km options from certain dealers
- Attractive financing deals, such as 0% down payment and 0% interest
- Strong road presence and modern styling that 'pops' in the UAE market
- GCC-spec models avoid the 130 km/h speed caps found on some other imports
Cons
- Reported performance struggles on steep inclines and mountain trails
- Perceived lower build quality and 'cheap' interior feel compared to competitors like Geely
- Concerns over low residual value and poor resale potential
- Reports of sparse parts availability and inconsistent after-sales service quality
- Frequent minor reliability issues, even if considered 'acceptable' by some owners
Caveats
- Opinions on 'value for money' are sharply divided; some users consider it a bargain while others label it 'trash' relative to its quality.
- There are conflicting reports regarding service center availability, with some users noting a lack of dedicated centers in specific cities like Dubai.
Best for
- Budget-conscious buyers looking for a new car with a long warranty
- Drivers who prioritize modern aesthetics and financing flexibility over resale value
Avoid if
- You require a vehicle with proven off-road power for steep terrain
- You are concerned about high depreciation and low resale value
- You prefer a brand with an established, long-term service and parts infrastructure

General wisdom seems to be that the Jetour ride quality is not great.
Jetour is pouring money into marketing in the middle east. So most videos are probably sponsored one way or the other. Even special invitation to events will bias their reviews.
I test drove the jetour, then test of this and try the jetour again and that other car felt cheap.
Have you looked at Jetour? They have great cars as well.
The cars are good in terms of technology etc so ur wife will love it im sure !
Jetours sell like candy.
My brothers got a Jetour and Geely and honestly I hate to admit I love their clean interiors more than some German brands.
Jetour's design profile is excellent although they look like a copy. The lighting part is on par and well done in terms of quality, shape and uniformity
Just compare them to the other vehicles and you will see. Power, quality of materials, safety (ANCAAP) ratings, off-road capabilities, technology. There are much better cars than Jetour
