Big fat panther lake STILL idles lower and has much better video encoder/decoder than anything amd has.

Panther Lake especially is night and day better than anything else Intel has shipped this decade... Its turning out to be much more than "incremental".

If you are going for insane battery life, and the ability to do actual high levels of work on battery without any compromise, there is no competition to panther on the market. It is simply the best, and significantly so.

The only mobile CPUs Intel has launched this decade which - Genuinely - Don't suck are last year's Lunar Lake SoCs (Core Ultra 200 v SKUs) and this year's Panther Lake/Core Ultra 3 chips.

Lunar Lake and Panther Lake laptops are out and both tech reviewers and normal people on Reddit are reporting battery life comparable to Macbooks.

If you care about battery life, latest intel cpus (panther lake) are the safest choice.

I still really love the design and Panther Lake has been awesome, but man. Dell is definitely not Apple.

if you need windows, i would look into panther lake. Its not as good as apple silicon but its still decently powerful (and has better compatibility thanks to x86)
