In the Dark (I'm open to limited run podcast recommendations, but they're not really what I'm looking for generally)

In the dark is so good. Investigative journalism at its best. I just finished season three and it was jaw dropping.

Season 2 of in the dark (I think that, although it starts with homicide, it’s focused enough on the legal system that it doesn’t fixate on it)

Season 2 of In the Dark, about Curtis Flowers was my favorite season. Truly exceptional!

The first season of In the Dark about Jacob Wetterling was incredible. I highly recommend going in completely blind without any knowledge beforehand.

I learned of that from In the Dark. Haunting and tragic.

Parent context: Serial season 1 and In the dark was the first and second podcasts i listened to and they have ruined everything else for me. Keep comparing others like cold, accused, hot money, and while they arent bad, nothing quite stands up to in the dark. Reply: But now that time has passed (and the flaws in Sarah Koenig’s reporting have been revealed), Serial feels like junior varsity and In the Dark feels like Olympic gold medal level. Each season is better than the last.

In the Dark is the gold standard of investigative journalism podcasts.
