Hyundai Elantra Hybrid

Pros

• For your preferences on size, I think the elantra hybrid is a great pick. CR rates it very highly including high marks for reliability, it looks nicer and will likely be more engaging to drive than the corolla hybrid
• Recent gen elantra hybrid (blue trim) look great, get great gas mileage, and have very favorable reviews/recommendations from outlets like CR.
• the elantra hybrid seems tempting since it has the best or just highest MPG out of the 3 i mentioned
• I don’t think the Elantra hybrid is a mistake. The Hyundai cars are on the forefront of styling and they are heavily loaded with features for the price.
• Yes, they rate the elantra hybrid very highly. It’s in a 3-way tie for #2 in their list of “Best Fuel-Efficient Cars Starting Under $35K”

Cons

• Hyundai Elantra/Sonata Hybrid are decent but not as good of a reputation.
• Elantra is in a smaller class (equivilent to Civic) and I don't trust Hyundai resale value or long-term reliability as much.
• The elantra is very much a “which of these is unlike the others”. It’s quite a bit smaller and less expensive. It’s really competitive with the civic, corolla, and prius.
