HP Pavilion

Pros

• I have been using an HP Pavilion for over 15 years now and it is still working fine. It is durable, has touchscreen, good storage, and overall aged really well.
• My THIRD pick would be HP Pavilion / Acer Aspire 5 with Ryzen 5 (5500U). If you can’t find a discrete-GPU unit, because the Ryzen 5’s integrated graphics handle Skyrim at medium settings and breeze through productivity and drawing softw...
• I’ve used a HP pavilion since 2017 never once had hinge issues
• everyone said not to get HP (even tho I really wanted to buy the HP Pavilion a friend has)

Cons

• I'm still considering the HP Pavilion and the Asus Aspire 5 as recommended in my last post, but thought I'd try again and see if there are any other recommendations with my new requirements.
• now I have the HP Pavilion and its battery also died last month.

• laptop is a 2017 hp pavilion with the AMD A8-7410, I was planning to at least upgrade the ram from 8 to 16gb because it’s cheap and simple, however I’m not sure if the CPU is upgradable, or if it’s even worth it?
• i was thinking abt getting a new laptop (i got the hp pavilion back in 2022) since my current one is quite heavy and takes up a lot of space.
