Pros
- if he wants 2-in-1 get lenovo yoga or hp envy x360 instead
- 2-in-1 option, can be used like a tablet (though 16" kinda absurd for that). Has a power efficient and capable Ryzen 5. HP Envy x360, 16" WUXGA Touchscreen, AMD Ryzen 5 8640HS, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD
- I have an HP Envy x360 w Ryzen 5 that I bought 5 years ago for school, and I love it.
- Since you are also interested in TouchScreen laptops, I only have a couple of suggestions along with some 2-in-1 if you are interested in them as well: **14" | 8840HS | 16GB DDR4 | 512GB SSD | 8-12Hrs | Win11 | PassMark: 25019** * HP E...
- I got a hp envy x360 with 1tb storage, a ryzen 7 8840hs, and 32 GB of RAM. I think spec-wise wise it may be very comparable to what you have but I spent 1400 for it at Harvey Norman around black Friday.
Cons
- And it's not the hinge that is the problem. It's the fucking bad chassis.
- Title. Yet another Hp Envy x360 faulty hinge victim. ... Been using fine for 2.5 years, went to open it this morning and screen is completely separated from chassis with broken hinge.
- I looked at the LG Gram and HP Envy x360 but neither seem high performance enough even in their best skus and they are both 16".
- HP Envy X360, 15.6" OLED Touchscreen, i7-1355U, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3050

I currently have an HP Envy X360 (Intel Ultra 7 155u, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) that I'm really quite a fan of. It does everything I need for work and school and my personal hobbies and more, and I really like being able to fold it up and use it like a tablet.

The HP Envy has a full sized SD card slot... Both are certified refurbished - like new, 30 days free returns, 2 year warranty. HP Envy X360, 15.6" OLED Touchscreen, i7-1355U, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3050
