Pros

  • Outdoor Research and Black Diamond both make solid options, and Hestra is great if you want premium feel.
  • Hestra is excellent.
  • Seconding Hestra, got a pair like 3 years ago for construction work and they're still holding up great
  • Seconding Hestra, they're solid but definitely layer with wool liners underneath.
  • Have you checked out Hestra? They’re pricey but mine have lasted 5 winters already, wool lined, and super warm.

Cons

  • At $100/pair whilst PPE ones are few bucks/pair.
  • A friend was comparing a few different brands including this and Hestra, he went with Hestra.
  • Mine did not hold up well after I used them on the snowmobile for a season but they have a very good warranty so planning on sending them in for this year
  • Seems very expensive for gloves that aren't even custom fit.
  • I was looking at some Hestra models, tried some on during my trip to Sweden and my good they felt good on hand, but are quite on the pricey side

For semi sustainable and ethical production Hestra is one of the only ones I’ve found. Not the greatest but also far better than most. Their stuff is pretty solid overall and good for fairly low temps.

Check out Carhartt or Hestra both run bigger and are actually warm. ... Hestra if you wanna splurge.
