- With the old messaging app being shoved out by Google messages, it's even less useful. I'm not savvy enough to understand what makes it onto my desktop app and what doesn't; sometimes texts make the leap, other times they don't.
- Google Messages is still the only app that implements RCS though, which sucks
- It's sucks that RCS is controlled and implemented solely by Google / Google Messages. I get why people avoid it. But when it's available, it's better than SMS/MMS in almost every way.
- I don't want to use an app that requires me to attach my email to my texts. Quite frankly I don't want use anything Google, Meta, Palantir or whatever some billionaire owes that has anything but my best interests in mind.
