But Google home wasn’t bad when I had it.
Parent context: I recently moved into a new apartment, which has Friedrich ACs. They can only natively interface with Google Home and Alexa... but then it just turns back on the next time it's scheduled, and there's no way to tell it to skip this task if I am not home. Reply: It's not ideal because basically I need to pre-program the temp in Google Home, and so there's basically 1 temperature per switch- I'd need a separate switch for each different temp.

but they are both not very reliable. specially for google home. google have recently make google home "dumb" AF to promo their new AI controlled google home. not recommended.
