Google Assistant

Pros

• One of my favorite things about the watch is being able to ask Google Assistant "traffic near me" and immediately get a map with traffic on my watch so I can quickly decide if I should take the highway near me or not.
• Assistant was good for setting timers, playing “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters for the umpteenth time, telling jokes, and answering general knowledge questions
• If you use Android, there's a Google Assistant integration that effectively does the same thing.
• I tell Google Assistant to put things on grocery list. Then can manage list with phone, computer too.
• I connected them to Google Assistant so now they close at 7 p.m. and open at 8:30 a.m. So far there have been no connection problems.

Cons

• I've just faced one issue which is that Gemini, Google assistant and circle to search does not work and the screen freezes and flickers.
• Google Assistant (and therefore Google Home) has gotten objectively worse in the last few years.
• If you compare it to Gemini/Google assistant *offline*, it's not terribly worse.
• if you can withstand endless frustration, use google assistant like i do. it works most of the time but breaks.... often. it's a bit annoying but works most of the time
• Parent context: It seems It's only there in name only for most folks. I still has the old assistant animation and everything. Reply: Same here. It's just a rebrand with a different app name for me but it's still Google assistant :(
