Giant TCR

Pros

• I rode a TCR recently and it was, bar none, the single best value high-end bike I've ever ridden, and it felt great.
• This tcr will be fine for you, go for it is my advice. ... I’d jump at that deal, can’t go far wrong with a tcr, it’s the daddy of all modern compact frame bikes after all!
• TCR is an excellent bike and fantastic value, even before the end of year discounts.
• Giant TCR, Specialized Allez or Cannondale CAAD 10 or earlier.
• Just get a TCR and save the change, or get a nicer spec with carbon wheels for similar cash.

Cons

• I find TCRs tend to feel quite small, especially if moving from a Defy.
• Regardless. This is such a weird ugly build. The 1 piece bar is made for a different bike. The frame is butchering those wheels. And the chainring 🤢
• These days you can get pretty good spec brand new bikes WITH WARRANTY at the price of a second hand TCR.... Just saying.
• I opted for a Defy over a TCR, as despite riding with some fast groups, I preferred the more upright position. Now riding with one spacer, and I wouldn’t be able to accomplish that on the TCR.
• I would look at a TCR or something else on sale.
