Genesis G70

Pros

• The Genesis G70 is priced fairly competitively for what it offers.
• G70 is a good choice. but imo, for $45k you can get a lot more car if you get a used vehicle
• G70 every time between those two. My buddy has the G70 and it’s amazing.
• The Genesis is more fun and feels more luxurious, the Lexus is a more tame vehicle but it is a Lexus, you don't really need to worry about it ever.
• Car and Driver regularly flips between ranking the G70 and the BMW 3 series as the best sedan under 50k, and it undercuts the BMW by around 3-6k on each trim level. It also depreciates faster than the BMW, which you could take advantage of.

Cons

• Both are good-looking cars but it's either unreliable Hyundai garbage or unreliable GM garbage. I vote for G70 for the looks if I had to pick.
• The stock brakes/rotors wear/warp pretty easily. There are aftermarket pads I think that resolve it or there’s a performance option from the stinger special edition. Otherwise it’s been reliable for him and he drives it hard
• Both cars are somewhat expensive while simultaneously being cheap pieces of crap.
• MPG is atrocious and the back seat is pretty much unusable. Definitely not super ideal for a commuter car if you’re concerned about fuel economy. Other than that it’s a great car with a lot of awesome features for the money
• The Genesis G70 is great as a compact sports sedan. If it’s just you I’d say go for it, if you have a family or multiple people you need to bring with you then skip it because of the seats
