Eurail Pass

Pros
- If you do want to travel around at short notice you could look into an Eurail pass (https://www.eurail.com/en), in countries like Switzerland and Germany it gives you true unlimited hop on hop off travel.
- A eurrail pass with 15 travel days on it would probably work. You might even decide that 10 travel days across the 2 months is enough.
- Scandinavia is absolutely included in the eural pass. Belgium is a pretty good place to start as you are in the middle of a dense train network.
- Sometimes Eurail can actually be cheaper than Britrail (especially now when there is a sale on Eurail - but you need to be quick because it ends today)
- with Europe they have an extremely simple train system that I could just get a eurail pass
Cons
- If you are planning rodeo London, Edinburgh, back to London, Paris, Barcelona and Rome then think twice
- My biggest con with the Eurail is that a lot of people have mentioned that the seat reservations cost is somewhat pricy (Eurail cost + Reservation cost.)
- Eurail Pass: Is a 4-day pass worth it for Rome to Florence, Barcelona to Seville, and getting into Portugal? I do know its tough between Spain and Portugal so that might end up being a coach bus.
- Trains- until you know where and when you are going you can’t know whether single tickets or passes are best. There’s no trick to it- you just compare the eurail pass (or whatever) with single ticket prices.
