Pros

  • Eufy is what I use for a battery powered 2K doorbell camera. They make all types, solar powered, indoor and outdoor, and it backs up to the app which saves a file to my google Photos app too. It also saves to an SD card they include but...
  • I only have Eufy but I’ve been pleased with them.
  • Reolink and Eufy are better, but nothing wrong with the TPlink family of devices.
  • Eufy has great video quality!
  • Both will work. I think eufy has a better app but tapo is quicker to work with and cheaper similar feature sets

Cons

  • Don’t do eufy. It has major issues staying connected to HomeKit
  • With eufy you're basically screwed.
  • Never tried a Tapo but I had a rough experience with a Eufy a few years ago, could be better now.
  • I use the Eufy when I’m driving, but personally I do not get the best output with it compared to my Spectra.
  • I lift my shirt, unhook the clip place my Eufy in, clip the hook then do the same on the other side then put my shirt back down.

Eufy is what I use for a battery powered 2K doorbell camera. They make all types, solar powered, indoor and outdoor, and it backs up to the app which saves a file to my google Photos app too. It also saves to an SD card they include but I've never needed to pull it for footage. You don't need to pay a subscription fee.

Overall the eufy system is more comprehensive, faster and has a nicer UX. I don't have either of those specific cameras, so I can't comment, but overall I also find the eufy cameras to have higher quality.

Parent context: Eufy Reply: Eufy’s a solid choice! They have local storage options and no subscriptions, plus the app is pretty user-friendly.
