Pros

  • My DJI flip is really easy and they’re available used for a couple hundred. OfferUp has lots of them and they aren’t up to spec for modern camera drones really, but if you look into it it’s got a couple control modes including voice.
  • Dji Flip is what you are looking for. Less than 250g, automatic modes, 3-axis gimbal (perfect stabilization). As something simple for travel, better than the neo 1 or 2. It has functions that the mini 4/5 does not have and is cheaper.
  • I have the Flip and the 4k. 4k was my first drone but if I had to do it over again I'd just get the Flip. It's basically better in every way and has prop guards. The 4k is by no means a bad drone, I just think you get more bang for your...
  • the flip is possibly a littel more fun and 100% safer it’s lighter has better wind tesitance and prop guess so even if you do hit next doors toddler there should not be to much damage
  • On the other hand, the Flip is cheaper, super easy to fly, takes fantastic photos and videos, can fly without the controller and use the follow me modes. It has prop guards and can take off and land in the palm of your hand.

Cons

  • Shot on the same flight path using Waypoints with a DJI Flip drone.
  • Wind currents over the water, especially if you’re near cliffs like in the picture above can be unpredictable and with a small drone like the flip that could maybe cause an issue. Also reflections off the water can cause the landing sens...
  • I'm considering upgrading to the DJI Flip, and I’m wondering—does it have any built-in features that could help with this issue?

Wind currents over the water, especially if you’re near cliffs like in the picture above can be unpredictable and with a small drone like the flip that could maybe cause an issue. Also reflections off the water can cause the landing sensors to get disoriented.

The Flip’s camera significantly outperforms the DJI Mini 4K’s due to its larger 1/1.3-inch sensor, wider f/1.7 aperture, and advanced features like 4K/60fps HDR, 10-bit D-Log M, and robust intelligent shooting modes.

If you mean the 4K and not the Mini 4 Pro, then the Flip has a significantly better camera

The Neo and Flip are both quite cheap. Slightly more money, but you get a drone that will do everything you want, is easy to fly, and has the best support system.
