Destination Certification Masterclass
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Destination Certification Masterclass is widely considered a premier, top-tier resource for CISSP exam preparation. Reddit users consistently praise its high production quality, interactive visual teaching style, and ability to simplify complex concepts. While it carries a premium price tag, many successful candidates report it was their primary or sole study source, often finding it superior to official ISC2 training and traditional bootcamps.
Pros
- Highly structured and clear explanations that help 'connect the dots' between domains
- Interactive visual style that is more engaging than traditional PowerPoint-heavy courses
- Comprehensive enough to be used as a sole source for passing the CISSP exam
- Excellent instructor access, including live Q&A sessions and responsive guidance
- Integrated study tools such as a mobile app, flashcards, and a structured study calendar
Cons
- High cost, with users noting it can be around $2,000 or roughly three times the cost of the exam itself
- Intensive time commitment, particularly for the 5-day 'live' remote sessions
Caveats
- Users often experience initial 'sticker shock' regarding the price, though most report the value is justified by the end of the course
- While highly comprehensive, some users still recommend supplementing with the course's free YouTube content for specific weak areas
Best for
- CISSP candidates who are visual learners and dislike dry, slide-based lectures
- Students who need a structured, day-to-day study plan to stay on track
- Professionals whose employers provide a training budget for certification
Avoid if
- You are on a tight budget and prefer utilizing lower-cost or free resources like textbooks and YouTube
- You prefer a traditional, lecture-only bootcamp format

Destination Certification Masterclass 11/10: Really nice structure, extremelly nicely explained topics. Haven't seen so much effort into explaining things in a while, and trust me I continually learn new stuff using all sort of sources.
I used Destination Certification and Quantum Exams. Both are good and the Destination Certification app just got refreshed recently with tougher questions.
Destination Certification 8/10 (Cover to Cover 2x, think some topics could have more detail or deep dive)
Destination Certification and the Dest Cert community: Their approach to teaching the CISSP concepts and, more importantly, the right mindset was extremely helpful. The community support and shared experiences also helped me stay motivated.
Would like all the advice i used dest cert cissp and quantum exam.
Destination certification has been great though for sure.
I’ve seen so many swear by destination cert and I’ve been crushing the practice test/quiz but I wanted to see if that’s a good baseline for success. The questions don’t seem as challenging as the questions from the ISC ninth edition prep book.
Destination Certification and i passed the first time at 100. Their course is FANTASTIC! I have ADHD and pretty bad, and i stayed focused and on track... The videos are great, the book is fantastic, the quizzes to make sure you’re understanding concepts are really helpful. The flashcards are a must, and the app to test your knowledge is also fantastic.
I did not use any other materials other than Destination certification materials and that was what made the difference.
This time around i did practice questions from destination certification only on those domains for 2 weeks.
