And also adversely impact the performance of those who DID actually pay for it. Denuvo is a scam service dreamed up by the type of people who only buy balls so they can take them home.
I’ve bought games in the past, and then when the crack comes out for Denuvo, I’ve ended up just grabbing them and playing through it again with some genuine performance uplift, more in the 1% than actual FPS and load times. I get that Denuvo is the best measure to stop it, but at the end of the day, it actually affects the people that buy it more than the people that pirate it.

Makes the game run poorly just so people can’t crack it or cheat on it as easily. Ie, the publisher doesn’t want people pirating their game, so they choose the absolute worst solution possible, which is the “Denuvo” software. The software makes their game run so terrible that not only do people not want to (and are less able to) pirate it, but they also don’t even want to buy it . 💀💀💀

I’m at the point where if a game is on UE5 it is almost as bad as if it had Denuvo.
The thing is, Denuvo is not working, yet many companies are still using it, for some weird reason. It drops your performance by some % and also doesn't prevent the game from being cracked. Some of the fastest cracked games took 4 days to crack and run smoothly. For some titles it takes at max of 1 week. Considering that the new games without Denuvo are being cracked between 10 hours - 2 days, it doesn't really seem like useful feature.
